Another National Trust property, I know, but I really respect their work, and I just had to share this one with you! After waking up at 6am to take my brother down to BoardMasters festival in August, there was no way I was going to drive the almost four hour journey straight back so I stopped off at this beauty en route. Arriving at the house at about 11am, I had a coffee in the wonderful little courtyard style cafe next to the second hand bookshop (forever the biggest temptation) before heading off to explore the house and its 50 rooms!!!
One of the first rooms I entered was decorated with this stunning, hand-blocked wallpaper ‘Seaweed’ by William Morris. These prints were very popular in the 1880s when the Arts and Crafts movement dominated interior design, and when Lanhydrock was being redecorated by Lord and Lady Robartes. I am completely in love with this wallpaper style and found this (https://www.stylelibrary.com/morris&co/) company, which prints in Morris’ true style (definitely worth checking out!).
